iQBioDrive™ Portable Biometric Hard Drive

The iQBioDrive™ is a portable USB fingerprint secured hard drive that plugs into your USB port and provides secure access through fingerprint authentication to the data that is stored on the biometrically locked partition.

The CryptoLokR™ AES256 secure encrypted partition on the iQBioDrive is set to Multi-Factor (Triple Factor) Authentication incorporating a token, fingerprint and secure password.  This security method means that you must first use your fingerprint to unlock the "Secure Partition" of the drive and then use a secure password and then the drive checks against a hidden encryption key located on the drive to finally mount the "Encrypted Partition" creating a super-secure method of storing your most private data.

The iQBioDrive Portable Fingerprint Hard Drive has an initial management partition which is where all of the software to run the fingerprint system is stored.  This partition takes up a maximum of 10MB of space (less than 1% on most drives).  Users may not store information on this part of the drive nor may they change or erase what is stored in this partition.

The iQBioDrive Portable Fingerprint Hard Drive gives you the option of storing data in one of three different storage areas with three discrete levels of security:

• Public Partition (Open Security) - This drive partition which is factory defaulted to ~ 10% of the drives capacity is available whenever the drive is plugged into a computer.  Items stored in this area are ALWAYS available whenever the drive is attached to a PC.  Examples of items that you might want to store in this volume are portable anti-virus programs or sales presentations (with publicly available data) that you want to run from any PC.
• Biometric Secure Partition (Biometric Locked Security) - This drive partition which is factory defaulted ~ 15% of the drives capacity and is available when the user authenticates with their fingerprint.  This area of the drive has a higher security level than the Open Partition but does not have encryption.
• Encrypted Secure Volume (Multi-Factor Security) - This drive volume is a sub-set of the Biometric Secure Partition which is defaulted to ~ 75% of the drives capacity and is available ONLY after authenticating with your fingerprint and then verifying your identity with a secure password and/or keyfile.  This multi-factor "verification" method ensures that your encrypted data is only available after first authenticating your identity biometrically, and then verifying this identity with a knowledge based method and finally validating against a hidden encryption key stored on the drive (virtual token). For improved security this key can be moved by the user to ANY location including a removable flash drive or network shared location.

Using AES256 Standard Encryption with a private encryption key, a high security password and biometric identification, this three-factor authentication system makes the iQBioDrive one of the most secure portable storage devices on the market today.

Using the above method to securely encrypt your iQBioDrive ensures that no-one but authorized users can access your private data.  You are securing your files using both Fingerprint Biometric Access and are further encrypting your valuable data within the secure partition by using a password.  By incorporating both the fingerprint authentication and then password verification into the encryption process and using AES 256 Bit encryption ciphers, the iQBioDrive is among the most secure portable storage devices on the planet.

Each of the partitions are represented on your PC by a separate drive letter being mapped to each drive.

Each iQBioDrive portable fingerprint biometric hard drive comes with the iQBio CryptoLokR program.  CryptoLokR is an advanced software encryption system developed by iQBio for establishing and maintaining an on-the-fly-encrypted volume. On-the-fly encryption means that data are automatically encrypted or decrypted right before they are loaded or saved, without any user intervention. No data stored on an encrypted volume can be read (decrypted) without using the correct password and correct encryption keys.

The iQBioDrive Portable Biometric Hard Drive includes our iQBioSync™ software which allows you to easily and securely SYNCHRONIZE emails, synchronize files and BACKUP all your main data from several computers to your iQBioDrive™ or any other mobile device (USB Flash Drive, Flash card, Hard Disk Drive, mp3 player, iPod etc.).
