How It Works

1. Sign up for an account.

Create a Mozy 2GB Free user account HERE which will allow you to download Mozy software and backup your data from the BioCert ClipBio Pro Flash Drive. The download should take less than 30 seconds.

Next, install the Mozy client software on your computer.

2. Download and install software.

Mozy downloads in just seconds, and the installation is simple and fast.

3. Download the Microsoft Sync Toy so that you can Backup the Secure Files on your Local PC

• Create a directory called: ClipBioSync in the root of your C: Drive.
• Use the Sync Toy to set up a folder synch to synchronize the Secure Partition of your ClipBio with this Directory.
  • Create the Folder Pair with your DOCUMENTS directory of your ClipBio and the ClipBioSync Directory on the C: Drive.  It is not necessary to synchronize the portable applications directory as these applications are available for download at any time.
    • DO export a copy of your Firefox Bookmarks to a file in the Documents Directory on your ClipBio.
    • DO make a TXT file with all of your email addresses and settings and save it in your Documents Directory on your ClipBio Pro.  This way if you have to re-install after losing your ClipBio, you have all of the settings.  All of your email should be left on the server until deleted.
  • Use the Echo settings in the Sync Toy (Any changes made on your ClipBio will automatically be made to the Sync Directory)
• Close ANY applications that are using your Secure Folder (Except Odyssey).  This includes any open Explorer windows and the Portable Apps tray icon.  FAILURE TO COMPLETELY CLOSE APPLICATIONS WILL RESULT IN A FAILURE OF THE BACKUP AND WILL RESULT IN DATA CORRUPTION.
• Synchronize your ClipBio to the ClipBioSync folder on your C: Drive.
• For further security, you can combine all of the files into a single ZIP archive using 7ZIP or any other archive utility.  Once Zipped you may delete the backup of the other files for enhanced security.

4. Open Mozy and select the C:/ClipBioSync directory as your files to sync with your remote encrypted backup.

You can now upload your single ZIP archive of your ClipBio Secure contents to Mozy.  Alternatively, you may sync all of the files with your remote backup, but a single zip file is easier to download and can be unzipped at any time.
