The Precise 250 MC is a combined fingerprint and smart card reader that offers a secure and privacy-enhancing biometric architecture. Supporting the ANSI 378 template standard, the Precise 250 MC is designed to fully comply with US governmental requirements for HSPD-12 and PIV. Used together with the Precise Match-on-Card™ technology, Precise Biometrics and partners are able to offer increased security and preserved user privacy in any authentication solution.

With the robust and user-friendly design, the device is ideal also for public applications requiring secure and accurate biometric authentication, Precise 250 MC enhances accuracy and facilitates use for non-habituated or infrequent users, such as usage in public kiosk or high-transactional volume applications outside of regular desktop use or daily single-user authentication.

Precise 250 MC is designed for Windows XP and 2000 environments, but integrates easily into other platforms thanks to CCID compliance and standardized USB interface.
